Fundraising Walk - CyberRun for Rehab

Colleagues and i went to have a fundraising walk on sunday morning. Sunny day but a bit hot! Can't imagine now (almost December) could be that HOT! still over 20 degree, even in the morning........

Friend's wedding

Michael and i went to my colleague's wedding ceremony and party last saturday. The church feel is soooooooooooooooo great!
In fact, renting the church is quite expensive.......but the feeling is irresistible!
Within this year, i still have 2 more to attend...... all gone of my salary ><
For next year.... got 3 for now, but can foresee there's more red boomingSSSSS!

Commencement - Nov 8, 2005

Finally, everything is done and i'm a MSc. now! In Hong Kong, the style of the commencement is quite different from what i had in UBC:

1) In Hong Kong, no shout/scream/clapping hands during the ceremony -> In UBC, we SHOUT for everybody! even we're queueing on the side of the stage.
2) In Hong Kong, no "hitting head" -> In UBC, "hitting head" is for everyone!
3) In Hong Kong, our dept course coordinator will walk us from seats to the front of the stage, then will shake hands with each students before we proceed forward up to the stage. This is soooooooooooooo touching! In UBC, we just queue on line and walk up to the stage for "hitting head" one by one.
4) In Hong Kong, we need to stand up and waiting to walk up to the stage, from the 1st person till you. In UBC, we can sit for the whole ceremony unless it's your turn to go up to the stage.

In whole, the ceremony is very touching ^______^
